Whilst a lot of attention is quite obviously placed on the role of the Community Risk Register as a tool for helping organisations focus their attention when it comes to planning in advance of any emergencies, another useful approach is to consider the previous history of incidents occurring in the Highlands and Islands.

This section of the website provides a brief insight into the history of incidents across the area. Typically they are related to a combination of public and private travel coinciding with severe weather related issues.
